Cruelty Free Statement
At CLAAN we do not condone or support animal testing in any form.
We do not test our products on animals, commission tests via third parties, or use ingredients or suppliers who do so. We will not sell into countries where animal testing is required by law.
Natural botanical ingredients
All CLAAN beard conditioning oils are vegan and contain natural ingredients derived from botanical origins. The musk and leather accords are not derived from animal sources. All naturally-derived oils and extracts provide beneficial healing effects and have been employed safely and effectively on humans for centuries. These ingredients do not require further safety testing. All our blends are formulation tested and Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) accredited.
Animal origin products
Extensive effort and research was employed to source cruelty free, ethical suppliers. We only buy our raw materials from companies that are totally cruelty free. The natural horn and boar bristle of our brushes are by-products only. We require written assurances from artisan suppliers, providing compliance with CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), to ensure that they comply in full with our cruelty free policy. No materials are sourced from China.
Our packaging is derived from ethical and sustainable sources. It is eco-friendly, recyclable and bio-degradable.
1.1 Access to and use of this website and the products and services it offers are subject to the following terms and conditions. By using the website, you are agreeing to these, and as may be updated by us from time to time. You should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may make.
1.2 Access to this Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend our terms and conditions without notice. If for any reason this website is unavailable at any time or for any period, we cannot be held liable for this event.

2.2 To purchase from CLANN you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit, debit card used to place your order and that there are funds to cover the cost of the goods.
2.3 All prices advertised are subject to market changes and any such changes will be advised at the time of order.
3. The Agreement
3.1 When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order. This email is only an acknowledgement and does not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us for the purchase of the goods is not formed until your payment has been approved and we have debited your credit, debit card account.
3.2 Subject to the provisions of these General Terms and Conditions, the Agreement becomes effective upon acceptance of an offer and the fulfilment of the applicable conditions by the Consumer. The Consumer accepts the offer by placing an order through the CLAAN Webstore. Promptly after receiving an order, CLAAN will send an automated email confirming the receipt of the order.
3.3 CLAAN may obtain information temporarily about the Consumer’s ability to fulfil his payment obligations, as well as about facts and factors that are important for the responsible conclusion of the Agreement.
3.4 CLAAN reserves the right to reject or cancel an order, without being liable for any damages or costs in (among others) the following situations:
- The Product is not available or the Product is out of stock
- The order is flagged by security systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud
- The Consumer’s billing information is not correct or not verifiable
- CLAAN has reason to believe the Consumer is a reseller
- There was an error in the price displayed on the CLAAN Webstore
- CLAAN cannot deliver to the shipping address provided by the Consumer.
4. Shipping & Delivery
4.1 All orders are subject to availability. Shipping times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to delays resulting from postal delays, for which we are not responsible. Your purchase will usually be dispatched within 1-2 working days from order and cleared funds. We use a recorded delivery service that requires a signature on delivery. We will contact you should we be aware we are unable to process orders in our usual time-frame.
UK Mainland - delivery is within 1-2 working days.
UK Non-Mainland, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands - Delivery may take longer within 2-7 days.
4.2 During peak seasonal periods and bank holidays please allow up to an additional 4 business days after order as delivery times may vary. For an up-to-date national holiday schedule, please visit Royal Mail/UK Mail’s customer information shipping page(s).
4.3 International Delivery - we ship to the rest of the world via Royal Mail. Depending on where the parcel is going, please allow 2-10 working days for delivery. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for lost or damaged packages on overseas orders and cannot be held liable for any charges imposed by local customs.
4.4 We are unfortunately unable to deliver orders to Armed Forces addresses.
4.5 Failed Delivery. Upon receipt by us of your undelivered parcel, we will email you to confirm this. Our email will provide you with the option of re-delivery or refund. If we fail to receive a response from you 10 days after we sent the email offering you these options, we will issue an automatic refund. You will receive confirmation of any refund following the requested or automated refund. If your order has failed to be delivered due to you providing incorrect delivery information, you may be required to pay a charge for your package to be re-dispatched.
4.6 UK Customers - If you are not available to sign for your parcel, Royal Mail/UK Mail (or the equivalent postal service used internationally) will leave a delivery card informing you how to arrange re-delivery or collection. Your parcel will be kept with our delivery provider for the period of time stated on any delivery card before being returned to us.
4.7 International Customers - Your local delivery provider should state on their delivery card how long they keep your parcel before it is returned to us. If you do not receive a delivery card or no date is provided, please contact us.
5.1 We hope you will be pleased with your purchase, if you are not, please email us on email@example.com and we will do our best to help. You have 14 working days from the date you received your order to return it. To be eligible for a refund your purchase should be unopened, unused and in its original packaging and in the same condition that you received it. A copy of the purchase receipt must be included in the return package for identification. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if returned purchases are non-saleable. We are unable to accept any items that have been used or with broken seals.
5.2 Shipping returns. Your return purchase should be carefully and securely wrapped in a suitably padded envelope or box. You are responsible for paying for the cost for returning your purchase. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Please use a tracked service for your return and retain the postage tracking reference/ receipt until you are certain we have received your purchase safely. We may need to ask for proof of dispatch if we fail to receive it.

6.1 Refunds will be the price at time of purchase. On receipt of your returned purchase we will email you and let you know if a refund is approved. Any refund will be made to your payment card. You will receive the credit within a certain number of days depending on your card issuer’s policy. If your item is not eligible for a refund and you wish it returned, the cost of that postage will need to be charged.
7.1 When personal information is provided to complete a transaction, verify a credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific use only. If we ever ask for this personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will ask you directly for your consent and provide you with an opportunity to say no. If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. To protect your personal information we take all reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed or altered. We do not share your information with others.
7.2 Our store is hosted on Squarespace. This is an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services. Checkout enables CLAAN to collect payment information from customers for authorised payment through Stripe Inc, our approved Level 1 secure payment facilitator. This Personal data includes your payment card information, your email address, billing and shipping address. Stripe will use this personal data as part of the payment processing process. Your data is behind a firewall and only long enough to complete the transaction. Information is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). For more insight, you may wish to read Stripe's Terms of Service or Privacy Statement. CLAAN does not retain any payment personal information.
8.1 CLAAN has the right at any time and without notice to amend, remove or vary the services and/or any page of this website and although intends to provide everything in complete accuracy, gives no guarantee as to the accuracy of the content of the website. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CLAAN, its owners, employees, consultants and agents, from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use this website or your breach of the Terms of Service.
8.2 Please respect our copyright in using our website. The intellectual property rights of content made available to you via this website remains the property of CLANN and is protected by copyright laws and treaties worldwide. All such rights are reserved by CLANN. You may store, print and display the content supplied solely for your own personal use. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content that appears on this website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise unless specifically agreed beforehand in writing.
8.3 If our conditions are breached and we choose to take no action at the time, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date, and in any other situation where you breach these conditions. These terms and conditions are in accordance with the laws of England and in the event of dispute or claim associated with these terms and conditions, that dispute or claim shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
8.4 Upon receiving your order, it is advised that if you are intending to use any conditioning beard oil, that you are aware of the ingredients. If unsure, or feel required, please take reasonable care to small patch test on skin before full application. CLAAN takes no responsibility for any allergy reactions. Full ingredients as described on conditioning beard oils labels. Fully compliant to EU Cosmetic Product Safety Assessments. All conditioning beard oils are fully certified and can be regarded as microbiologically safe for consumers’ health under the ISO 29621:2010 standard.
